La maggior parte di loro ti salta addosso per portarti a vedere una qualche festa dei colori, occasione imperdibile che si tiene solo una volta a settimana che però ti viene proposta tutti i giorni della settimana, o per trascinarti nei loro negozi. Mohammed ci spiega che ci vorranno almeno due mesi per addestrarlo e insegnargli la strada. Dopo un po’ di cammino, Mohammed fa sedere i cammelli e ci porta in cima a una duna e ci mostra come scrivere i nostri nomi in arabo, tracciandoli con le dita nella sabbia rossa del deserto. Nel frattempo, arriva una jeep bianca e sentiamo qualcuno chiamarci. Ci avviciniamo al pick-up e vediamo Feride, Giada e Letizia sedute sulla retro del pickup con uno dei beduini alla guida. Saliamo anche noi e senza nessuna esitazione il pick-up parte saltando tra le due del deserto fino all’accampamento per la notte.\nLa sera, mentre tutti i nostri compagni di viaggio dormono nelle loro tende, usciamo con Assan, che ci guida nel buio orientandosi tra le dune come se fossero la sua casa.
